SamSam is a social enterprise. This means that making money is not the primary goal but a means to create societal value. For this reason, we invest in various sustainable projects. SamSam dreams big: a stable power supply throughout Africa!

A dual objective

SamSam aims to be a leader in the field of social entrepreneurship. One Sam focuses on running a healthy, profitable business with professional services, while the other Sam is committed to stewardship and caring for fellow human beings. We achieve the latter by sharing our knowledge and investing in sustainable projects, allowing us to combine entrepreneurship with doing right by our neighbors and the planet.

Assistance to fellow human beings

As SamSam, we aspire to be at the forefront of social entrepreneurship. Our pillars are 'assistance to fellow human beings' and 'sustainable energy.' We aim to raise awareness of our stewardship and provide practical advice on how to embody it. When customers switch to SamSam, they practically notice no difference, but they are making an impact. This way, our customers are inspired and actively engaged in the pursuit of a better world.

Projects that make an impact

SamSam is a small-scale enterprise, active in the Netherlands and South-Africa, but with a global perspective. We have a fondness for Africa – its people and its culture. Africa holds a special place in our hearts, and we are eager to give back. This commitment has been with us since our inception. Initially, it was modest in scope, but now it's more expansive, and we hope that in the future, it will become even more widespread!

SamSam has established herself social entrepreneurship in South Africa! Getting our feet on the ground by performing a SAMSAM funded installation of a compleet Hybride back-up system for Lawrence House, proving more reliable energy and directly reducing their electricity bill!

We would like to introduce you to Mark and Corine Godeschalk. They work from the GZB at the hospital in Lolwa, Congo. Most of the village's inhabitants are very poor and live off the yields of their own small plots of land.

The main goal of this project is to provide food security to farming families in Haiti so that they can sustain their households. This is achieved, among other things, by making productive use of crop surplus. The project also provides families with access to the market, creating opportunities to increase their household income.

Project SamSam in Ethiopia

Gambella has been hosting refugees from South Sudan since the 1980s. The number of refugees has increased to the point where there are more refugees than local residents. This has led to a severe shortage of food and employment and has also placed a tremendous burden on the environment. The project's objective is to collaboratively work towards building a sustainable and peaceful community with hope for the future.

Project SamSam in Malawi

This project focuses on sowing and planting trees, providing community education, and increasing local awareness. Youth from the Presbyterian church grow and plant trees to combat deforestation. The goal is not only to prevent deforestation but also to make local people responsible.

The goal of this project is to improve the existing livelihoods of poor rural households in Amudat, enabling them to avoid risks and increase their resilience to external influences. SamSam is donating a total of seven solar-powered water pumps, benefiting seven farmer groups.

The goal of this project is to improve food security and increase household income for 120 families. Partner organization Tear builds and continues to support based on the results achieved in recent years: (church) communities in villages are actively empowered and equipped for better food and livelihood security.
