Your home. Your energy. Your SamSam solution.
Every home uses energy differently. Tell us a little about your home and discover which type of solar solution could suit your needs.
01 — Choose your home
🏠 The Family Home
For households with multiple people, appliances and different energy needs throughout the day.
💻 The Work-from-Home Home
For homeowners who use electricity during the day for working, cooking, cooling and everyday activities.
🔋 The Backup Seeker
For homeowners who want greater energy security and backup when the power goes out.
☀️ The Energy Saver
For homeowners looking to make better use of solar energy and reduce their reliance on grid electricity.
02 — What does your home need?
Do you use a lot of electricity during the day?
YES → Solar panels could help generate energy while the sun is available.
NO → A battery may help you make better use of solar energy later in the day, depending on your system and usage.
Is backup important to you?
YES → A battery storage solution could be worth considering.
NO → Solar panels may be a suitable starting point.
Do you use most of your electricity in the evening?
YES → Solar + battery could be an interesting combination because excess solar energy can be stored for later use.
NO → Solar may already address a large part of your daytime energy use.
03 — Your possible SamSam solution
☀️ Solar
For homes that want to generate their own energy.
Solar panels use energy from the sun to generate electricity for your home.
Best suited for:
Homeowners who use significant electricity during the day and want to generate more of their own energy.
☀️ + 🔋 Solar & Battery
For homes that want more flexibility with their energy.
Solar panels generate energy, while a battery can store excess energy for use later.
Best suited for:
Homeowners with evening energy use, a need for backup, or a desire to make greater use of their solar energy.
🔋 Battery Storage
For homes where energy storage and backup are important.
A battery stores electricity so it can be used when needed, depending on the system configuration.
Best suited for:
Homeowners who want additional energy storage or backup.
Not sure what your home needs?
Every home is different.
SamSam can look at your home’s energy use, your goals and your current setup to help you understand which solution could work for you.
Let’s find the right solution for your home.

The information above is a general guide. The most suitable solar and battery solution depends on your home’s energy use, system configuration and individual needs.

I’ve built your content as an interactive page with the SamSam logo in the header and again in the closing section. I haven’t opened or tested it after building it.

The page has a green hero banner with a house, solar panel, battery and sun illustration. You tap one of the four home types, and the three YES/NO questions fill in with a sensible default for that home. The matching answer text appears under each question, and you can change any answer. The three solution cards (Solar, Solar & Battery, Battery Storage) then highlight a “Suggested for you” option.

  • Suggestion logic: I wrote this myself, so please check it. Backup only with no day or evening use points to Battery Storage. Backup or evening use points to Solar & Battery. Anything else points to Solar.
  • Default answers per home: These are also my own, since your copy didn’t specify them. For example, The Backup Seeker starts with backup and evening use set to YES.
  • Talk to SamSam button: It opens WhatsApp using the number from your solar guide, +27 84 451 3574. Tell me if you’d rather it go to email or a booking form.

The page follows your wording, and the disclaimer is at the bottom.

I’ve rebuilt the page as a bigger version and updated the same link. I haven’t opened or tested it, so give it a quick click-through.

What’s new

  • Stronger opening: The hero now has a slowly turning sun, a “Start now” button and a three-step strip (pick your home, answer 3 questions, see your solution). The logo is in the header with a “Talk to SamSam” shortcut.
  • Guided flow: Picking a home ticks the card and scrolls you to the questions. The result stays hidden until all three questions are answered, so the Family Home has to answer the daytime question itself.
  • “A day in your home” chart: It plots a typical day’s solar generation against home electricity use, and it changes with your answers.
    • Solar & Battery: a teal band shows stored solar covering the evening.
    • Backup: an amber “Power cut” window shows when the battery keeps essentials running.
    • Battery Storage: the chart drops the solar curve and shows only the backup window.
  • Energy flow strip: Sun → Panels → Your home → Battery → Grid, with the parts your suggestion doesn’t use greyed out.
  • Personal result: You get a “Best starting point” panel with three “why this fits you” lines built from your answers, and the matching card is highlighted among all three options.
  • Smarter button: “Talk to SamSam” opens WhatsApp with a message already filled in, such as “I’m a family household interested in Solar & Battery…”.
  • “How SamSam helps” row: Three tiles (your energy use, your goals, your current setup) sit in the closing section with the logo.
  • Layout: It works on phones and in dark mode.

Content I added or changed

  • The hero line “Answer three quick questions…”, the “why this fits you” lines, the “Best starting point” label and the chart captions are my wording.
  • The chart is a labelled illustration only, not real data.
  • I kept your original answers, solution descriptions, “Best suited for” lines and disclaimer.

I’ll package this as a proper WordPress plugin: a dashboard settings menu, a copy-and-paste shortcode, and a full-bleed layout that breaks out of Elementor containers. I’m generating the plugin’s CSS and JS from the page we just built, so the design stays identical.

Ran 3 commands, shared filesRan 3 commands, shared files

The plugin is packaged as samsam-solar-finder.zip. I haven’t run it on a WordPress site: there’s no PHP in my environment, so the PHP wasn’t linted or run, and the plugin hasn’t been loaded in Elementor. Only the JavaScript files passed a syntax check. Please test it on a staging site first.

To install: go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then activate.

Settings: a new “SamSam Solar” item appears in the dashboard menu, with four tabs.

Two things behave differently from the artifact. The page is always light, with no dark mode, because it would clash with a light WordPress theme. The home-type and solution card wording stays fixed in the plugin and can’t be edited from the settings yet; I can add that if you want it.
